Tomas Delgado handcrafts this one-of-a-kind Classical Guitar with Palo Escrito sides and backs. Candelas
has been using Palo Escrito since the company started. Only in the past 5-10 years has Palo Escrito been given
the respect and attention it deserves by American luthiers and wood suppliers throughout the world. Tomas
approaches the handcrafting of this model with the same care as an Indian Rosewood or Brazilian Rosewood guitar.
Palo Escrito is a rich Rosewood found in Mexico. It is used primarily by guitar luthiers and comes in rich,
poignant colors such as red and golden brown accented with darker streaks than its
East Indian Rosewood counterpart. Each Palo Escrito Classical
Guitar is made with premium Cedar or Spruce tops, ebony fretboard, a nut and saddle (made of actual bone), finished
in lacquer and hand buffed to perfection. The Candelas rosette design is the Piece de Resistance.
