DESCRIPTION

This 1967 Flamenca blanca built by Juan Alvarez comes from a line of instruments he built for other guitar shops in Spain. This one in particular was made for La Casa Arcangel Fernandez.  Arcangel Fernandez, a well known maker from Spain, carried this line of guitars together with his own hand made creations. Typically when a respected luthier like Fernandez orders guitars to sell in his shop from another maker, he is giving buyers the confidence of knowing they are being sold a quality instrument. A practice Candelas Guitars has also undertaken over the years.

This guitar can be fairly described as a working musicians guitar. At a scale length of 655mm the character of tension in the strings makes the guitar a joy to play. At 53mm at the nut, you are also afforded some extra space between strings for added comfort. The guitar is bright and very responsive. Typical of a working musicians flamenca blanca, she is built for fast arpeggios and fast scales. As an added benefit, the guitar has warm tonal qualities, long sustain, and a clear balance between strings.
