DESCRIPTION

This 1964 Juan Pimentel comes from their workshop in Mexico city. Originally, the guitar was commissioned and built for Josefina Reed per the inscription on a 2nd label signed by the maker. This guitar has special attention to detail in its finishing work as the rosette has a matching strip running across face of the headstock. With the nut set at 53mm, players seeking a guitar with more spacing between strings will find comfort in this design. Along with its current set up, players can easily pick up speed when playing scales. Tuners are in polished showroom condition. Its spruce top has aged beautifully taking on a light sunflower orange hue. The grain of the top sits straight and is fairly tight. Basses are boomy and trebles are tight with noticeable balance between them.
